Welcome to the 2023 Ingham Junior Championships
The 4th Northern Region Junior Qualifier, the 2023 Ingham Junior Championships , will be hosted at the Ingham Squash Centre on the 29th and 30th April.
The 2023 Ingham Junior Championships is a SILVER regional junior tournament.
Players need to compete in Ingham (compulsory) and 2 of the 3 other NR Junior tournaments, being Townsville, Mackay, or Cairns to be eligible for the selection on the Northern Region Redback Team, which will compete in the Queensland regional teams event at the 2023 Queensland Junior Championships (QJC)
Northern Region and Ingham Squash reserves the right to move or cancel this event should there be the need due to the Covid-19 pandemic or other unforeseen circumstances. We will need to follow the Centre's Covid-19 Safe Plan.
Games may be scheduled for Friday evening for available players. Otherwise players are expected to be available between 8:30 am and 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday except with prior approval.
The 2023 Ingham Junior Championships will commence at 8.30am sharp on both days. Players are to be present and checked in with Tournament Control 30 MINUTES before the scheduled time of their match. Game scheduling is an estimate of game times. Please be aware we will be "following on".
The tournament promises to be a fun event for all junior players.
Saturday Night Dinner.

This Northern Region Tournament include:
1) Aged Events.
2) Doubles (for experienced Players only as practice for the QJC teams event).
ENTRY FEES:
TO BE PAID ON SATURDAY DURING CHECK IN
Aged Entry Fee - $55 (1 event) or $65 (2 events)
Novice $20 per player
Doubles (for experienced Players only for practice for the QJC team event) - $10 per player
3 Matches minimum.
PAYMENT IN CASH ON THE FIRST DAY OF COMPETITION PRIOR TO PLAYING, AT CHECKIN.
SQUASH QUEENSLAND AFFILIATION
All entrants must be affiliated with Squash. https://qld.squash.org.au Click on the red button at the top of the screen to register.
EYEWARE
Protective Eyewear, (Regulation 13 - Protective Eyewear Policy, Squash Australia).
"Any Australian player who satisfies the Squash Australia age eligibility for 19 years and all younger age groups is required to wear eyewear when playing in domestic or international tournaments or competitions"
Doubles: "Protective eyewear must be worn by all players (junior or senior) when playing in doubles competition / tournaments"
"This policies policy applies to junior players at all times
A list of the World Squash Federation protective eyewear standards can be accessed on the Squash Australia Website.
MOUTH GUARD - Must be worn by all u13 players during the doubles.
